Georgian media outlets have echoed the conspiracy theories spread by Russian media and politicians about a nerve-agent attack in Salisbury that targeted a Russian ex-spy, Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia. Georgia and the World and Sakinform are taking the lead among Georgian pro-Kremlin media outlets. The conspiracy theories emerged after poisoning of Skripal and certain steps taken by Western countries against Russia.

In most cases, Georgian actors are echoing the messages spread by Russian politicians and Russian media outlets, saying that the West has compelled Georgia to expel Russian diplomat from the country that further irritates Moscow.
